Golden Owl Artwork Tutorial

Quick tutorial how to make paint dripping effect on statue owl object.

Prepare your object first. You can google some statue object then recolor it in Photoshop.
To recolor it, you can add layer above your object, add your fav color, then change the layer blending to Color / Soft Light.
In this tutorial I rendered the owl model in Cinema4D 2 times, for black color and gold color.

Put the gold color layer right above the black color layer. Then add layer mask on the gold color layer. Click on the gold layer mask then Invert the layer mask by press Ctrl + I. 

  

Draw on the gold layer mask, by using white color. Shape your dripping on that layer mask.

Add Layer Style on the gold color layer.

after layer style been applied.

For the final step, you can add :

- Mandala pattern behind the main object

- Splatter ink behind & front the main object

- Your favorite background fot the object.

- And liquify the main object to make it more 'drip'.
